Feminine Embodiment + Hypno Breathing

Interaction between Earth and Moon mirrors the connection between the body and the material world, and the instinctual drives of the feminine… It’s a juicy lunation that can amplify our energies and help us become aware of what is happening in our own souls.

BDC hosts virtual monthly women circles on the full moons. For August full moon (2022), BDC hosted guest teacher Lisa Malia Norman, a Feminine Leadership Coach, Nonprofit Founder + CEO, Best Selling Author, and host of the Sacred Purpose Podcast, in our women’s circle. She guided us to access our own unique type of feminine embodiment with the power of the Full Sturgeon Moon and guided us in a powerful visualization exercise through hypnobreathe work. Read below to learn more about those two spiritual tools.

What is Feminine Embodiment?

Lisa Malia shared insights on nine feminine archetypes she’s discovered and a definition associated with each to help the women in the circle identify what feminine names or words resonate most with us. The feminine archetypes include:

  • The Warrioress. They seek to improve the quality of life for all beings.

  • The Midwife. They create space for transformation and shine a light on the brilliance of others.

  • The Protector. They are highly intuitive. They protect their energy and environment and show others how to as well.

  • The Way-Shower. They lead by example and break old toxic cycles and patterns.

  • The Creatrix. They show us that we can face difficult times and still experience joy.

  • The Change-Maker. They help to create meaningful impact and bring new ideas to life.

  • The Sage. They hold the vibration of love and call upon the masses to rise up as needed.

  • The Weaver. They have the unique ability to see how things are interconnected and develop strategies..

  • The Visionary. They’re a natural channel to what’s possible and a gateway to the new paradigm.

The circle of women were instructed to select one term and/or description. Some women in the circle selected one to improve or grow into while others selected a familiar concept, one that can be accessed easily in her everyday life. To learn more about feminine embodiment visit her website here.

What is Hypnobreathe Work?

Then, Lisa guided us in hypnobreathwork to connect to the energies of the feminine archetype we wanted, allowing our subconscious to guide the way and relaxing our bodies enough to fully embody and remember the pathway to our inner feminine expressions. Founded by Francesca Sipma, this technique uses a combination of Hypnotherapy, Breathwork, and visioning tools to help someone connect with their subconscious.

Returning to the Feminine for Balance

So much of American society, and the world, is dominated by hypermasculine energy. Living things in this society (humans, animals, plants) are expected to produce, give, output, and be active constantly.

In a society like this, it’s easy to forget that we are humans with both masculine and feminine qualities. Women circles give us the space to tap into the feminine energies that may hide away, or be suppressed in our everyday lives. Women circles also give us the opportunity to connect to our intuitions and subconscious minds, because we gather as women, because we gather under the full moon, because we gather with the intention to remember and return to our most sovereign selves.

Some feminine energies accessed in women circles include: rest, nourishment, recovery, acknowledgement of rhythms and subtle or subconscious energies.

Voices from the Women Circle

“It offered me a quiet space to be still. It was exactly what I needed.”

“I saw my ancestors and my matriarchal lineage. It was of strength and beauty.”
